As you can see, our current policy leaves us all collectively better off, by impoverishing most of us for the benefit of a few of us.   This is what happens when the political system is managed by the few at the direct expense of the many.  This is what happens when the rights of individuals become more sacrosanct than a sense of duty to the whole.
